Carrying on from my post earlier today, Japan’s Ministry of Defense has now rejected reports it is researching AI-based psyops. Instead, it claims to be researching how to use AI to fight “fake news”. Well, that’s a relief!
The government has embarked on strengthening measures to respond to information warfare by so-called "fake news" centered at the Ministry of Defense's Intelligence Headquarters.
Apparently, the government believes it must invest large amounts of time, money and effort into ensuring the Japanese public aren’t taken in by deep fakes produced by the Rascally Russians.
During Russia's invasion of Ukraine, "deepfake videos" created using AI (artificial intelligence) have attracted attention. The MoD has established the post of the Global Strategic Intelligence Officer, who analyzes the truth and intentions of messages sent via SNS and plays a role in preventing fake news from misleading the public.
To further strengthen countermeasures against such fake news, the MoD is considering building a system that can reliably deal with information warfare by fake news and strengthening external dissemination and automatic collection and analysis of public information by using AI at its Intelligence Headquarters.
And just to be clear, this has absolutely nothing to do with psyops. Nothin’ I tell ya’.
The MoD flatly denied reports that it is reseaching ways to guide domestic public opinion using AI technology. "This is a complete misunderstanding of the facts. It is unimaginable for the MoD to carry out initiatives aimed at guiding domestic public opinion in a specific direction."
I’m as convinced as you are.
So what the hell is going on here? If I were to guess, the original article on the MoD’s AI research may itself have been an attempt at gauging/testing Japanese public opinion. This makes sense for several reasons.
Firstly, Covid has shown the government has a tight control over what appears in media, so I doubt the story would have appeared on the Kyodo wire service or have been widely syndicated without its permission. Secondly, the MoD didn’t comment until several days after the story came out. Thirdly, Kyodo didn’t report the story on its English-language website (the only English-language reporting on it seems to have been by your humble correspondent). This fact suggests the story was released solely for domestic consumption.
Anyway, it looks like the MoD’s antics will give me something to write about if Japan ever gives up Covid.
This almost exactly mirrors what occurred in communist Canada in 2021. Mainstream news started to report that the military was testing psychological operations on Canadian citizens. Little do the hapless citizens know that the psyops being waged on citizens is not by the military. This is a distraction and provides plausible deniability. There is a federal civilian agency, embedded in the Privy Council Office (which is heavily connected with the British Crown), in charge of employing military-style psyops on citizens. Established in 2018, this obscure agency, Impact Canada, received next to no attention but has an advisory board full of globalist characters from international bankers to Planned Parenthood International. It is 100% tied to the UK Behavioural Insights program. Provincial psyops agencies were established in the larger provinces for localized operations.
I would not be surprised if Japan were to have such a setup, if we were to dig deeper into the civilian side of government.
And there is no prostitution in Japan. Just “compensated dating”.
