Meet Tottori governor Shinji Hirai. In the video, he tells his constituents that mask wearing is good manners (his own mask says manners) and asks them to wear masks when with their relatives too, only take them off when they are a cows’ length from other people, and put them on again when conversing during meals.
In addition to wearing masks at almost all times, the Tottori prefectural government also offers other advice to prevent infections at home such as for household members to avoid using communal plates and chopsticks; to brush their teeth in turn and avoid using the same toothpaste and cup; to avoid drying their hands with the same towel; and to disinfect door knobs and switches.
