If I see someone alone wearing a mask in a car, however, I will definitely laugh in his face, even if I risk getting run over. I will ask for non-facepants discounts at all businesses I patronize because I should be rewarded for my research and inquisitive nature. I will also ask for tax breaks for the same reason. If I had kids in a school which required the unscientific breathing barriers, I would pull them out and have them homeschooled, even though this concept is unheard of in Japan. My child, however, has to wear his at school and Gakudo, which means he has his on 10 hours a day, and I am fuming mad. Home schooling is against the law here. Every child must go to school, that is the law. Yes, nonJapanese citizen minors and their gaijin parents are often left alone if they do not attend school. Different when your wife and children are Japanese. Looks to be leading top divorce in my case, after which I will not have even the little influence I fancy I do have over our kid’s upbringing.

If the shipping is a problem, masks made out of the fabric called "chiffon" are also extremely breathable and look legit. You can buy those on Etsy dot com or maybe they are made domestically where you are.
If your kid has to wear those blue surgical masks though, that's a lot tougher... I wonder if you could poke several dozen small holes using a pin or something that cumulatively would make it easy to breathe while still obscuring the fact that the mask has been altered.
This doesn't touch on the validity of the mask mandate itself, which I would agree is void. But if there is no way around it and a mask has to be worn to avoid expulsion, those alternatives I mentioned may be of help.
